BLOG TOUR: Nothing Bad Happens Here by Nikki Crutchley

I'm taking part in another Blog Tour! Woo-Hoo! I'm very excited to be a part of the Blog Tour for Nothing Bad Happens Here by Nikki Crutchley. This novel is set in New Zealand, which is a place that I want to visit one day. I hear it is so pretty.
So I thought I'd share a little bit about the book and my thoughts on it. I'm still reading it (shame, shame on me) I'm about 30% through, but I can give you my Currently Reading Thoughts and Feels!
Thank you to Rachel's Random Resources and Nikki Crutchley for inviting me to take part in this blog tour. I received a copy for free for an honest review. All my thoughts and opinions are my own, and are in no way influenced by receiving a free e-arc.

Title: Nothing Bad Happens Here
Author: Nikki Crutchley

Summary: Castle Bay is a safe, tiny tourist town. People come here to relax, to have fun. Nothing Bad Happens in Castle Bay, until it does. A tourist named Bethany Haliwell goes missing and four months later her body is found. This is big news. Is there a murderer in the town's midst, and what about their reputation for being safe and fun? The journalists descend on Castle Bay to get the story.
Miller Hatcher is sent on assignment to Castle Bay. She's out to get a feel for the case and victim, and get the story. She finds a small town that leaves her very curious. Her investigation leads her on twists and turns, and uncovers secrets that Castle Bay never wanted revealed.
Currently Reading Impressions: I feel so bad that I can't give my full review of the book because I haven't finished yet, please forgive me. I can tell you what I think of it so far. I'm about 30% of the way through, and I'm definitely enjoying it.
My first draw to the story was the setting. I see New Zealand as this beautiful, magical place that I would love to visit one day. My second draw was the mystery and crime aspect. I really enjoy a good mystery. So far, this mystery has been pretty good. It's got some intrigue to it, some questions that I'm curious to have answers to. This idea that Nothing Bad Ever Happens in Castle Bay just screams secrets and revelations that will bring shock.
I'm enjoying the writing style. It's very easy to read and get into. I'm finding the pace of the story to be really good. I'm just enjoying the journey so far.
Miller Hatcher is an interesting character. I'm interested to learn more about her. I also think it's interesting that the only place open for her to stay while on this assignment is a wellness retreat called Haven. I wonder if Haven will have some secrets too.
The story switches a little bit between characters. We see a little from the Sheriff's POV. We see a little from the mayor's wife, but the main character seems to be Miller.
I'm also interested in solving this mystery. Who killed Bethany Haliwell? Is her killer a resident of Castle Bay, or was he just a tourist passing through? I can't wait to find out more and see what happens.
I will definitely post a full review when I finish the book, so look for it.
